My wife is not a gadget freak…but she likes very small laptops. She doesn’t actually do much on them – just browse the internet, write Word docs and create reasonably big Excel spreadsheets, but she is surprisingly fussy about responsiveness.

Until now there has only been one Netflix player – the Roku Netflix player. It costs $99 and is only available in the US. Netflix own Lovefilm in the UK, so it will probably be coming over here soon.

Techcrunch have heard that 240,000 Kindles have been shipped since the November 2007 launch, “according to a source close to Amazon with direct knowledge of the numbers”.
